Maintenance

Everyone depends on your fire alarm system functioning properly in the event of a fire.

A fire alarm acts as a warning system to notify inhabitants or employees and enables safe and timely evacuation.

If you are the owner of a non-domestic building in the UK, you have a legal obligation to protect your staff, tenants, and property from fire, and to ensure that this detection system is in good working order and adheres to current regulatory standards.

All fire alarm systems must be serviced in accordance with BS5839-1:2017 at least every 6 months. Regular maintenance is important to ensure that your investment will continue to function correctly and is still fit for purpose. It will also identify any variations from the standard that may arise from changes that may be made to building layouts or uses. Regular maintenance visits from one of our engineers means our clients have the opportunity to refresh their knowledge of the panel functions if they so wish.

Our experienced engineers at M&G Fire Protection will make servicing your fire alarm panel an effortless process, carrying it out in accordance with BS5839-1 and providing you with a cost effective way to ensure your sounders will activate if needed, giving you peace of mind. We also offer routine bi-annual alarm testing and servicing, as well as an emergency 24-hour response call-out service.
